Meet CASA volunteer Kathy! Kathy advocates for youth in our community by making sure they get the resources they need and have their voices heard in court.

Kathy first heard about the Kids Matter CASA program while searching online for opportunities to volunteer with children. Retired from her 40-year career at Northwestern Mutual Life, she felt a desire to serve children in her community and help them find brighter futures.

After finding the Kids Matter website, Kathy knew she wanted to become a CASA volunteer and make an impact on children in the foster care system.

Kathy has worked with Tyra and her siblings for over 5 years, dedicating countless hours to ensuring that the siblings stayed in contact with one another and found stable, loving homes. Despite the global pandemic, she was committed to helping Tyra and her siblings thrive.

Outside of being a CASA volunteer, Kathy and her husband fly all the way to California every month to visit their kids and grandchildren.

We are so grateful to have you, Kathy. We so appreciate all that you do for our youth and the tremendous impact you make in their lives. Thank you for making a difference!
