When it comes to making a lasting impact on the lives of children, sometimes it starts with being willing to step up and put in the effort. Hailey Allen is one of our outstanding Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers, and she recently talked with us about the power of community and the difference one person can make.

Discovering CASA and Becoming a Volunteer

A volunteer’s journey often begins with a simple introduction—a conversation, an article, or even a social media post. That was how it happened for Hailey, who first learned about CASA on Instagram. She saw a post from someone who was training to be a CASA volunteer in California, and it sparked her curiosity. She decided to learn more about advocating for children in foster care and ultimately underwent training to become a volunteer herself.

By day, Hailey runs a Creative Consultancy that specializes in digital project management and copywriting. While seemingly unconnected to child advocacy, her skills managing her own business are transferrable to her role as a CASA, allowing her to stay organized, communicate effectively, and ensure that each child’s voice is heard in the courtroom and beyond.

Why Advocacy Matters

Serving children and the community isn’t just a responsibility for Hailey; it’s a passion. She believes that everyone has unique talents that can contribute to the greater good. She shares, “Life is not meant to be navigated alone—children, families, and communities thrive when they have consistent support.” Being able to provide stability, guidance, and advocacy for children in foster care is an honor and a way for her to give back in a truly meaningful way.

Fun Fact: Hailey’s Focus on Family

Beyond her work and volunteerism, Hailey has another important role—being an incredibly proud aunt to seven nieces and nephews! “They are my pride and joy, and I love any opportunity that comes my way to share about how wonderful they are,” she says. Her love for family extends naturally into her work with CASA, where she strives to ensure that every child has the support they deserve.

The Power of One Volunteer

One person can make all the difference in a child’s life, and Hailey’s journey with Kids Matter CASA is proof of that. Whether using their professional skills, their personal experiences, or simply their compassionate heart, every CASA volunteer plays a crucial role in ensuring that children in foster care have a voice, a champion, and a brighter future ahead.
